For a depressed day, the song sounds kindof happy and airy as in your heads in the clouds kindof feeling.
The only thing I didn't like about it was when the distortion came in, it's too sharp and sounds like the song had a distortion problem at first until I realised it was a part of the song.
Maybe just tone down the distortion so it's a bit smoother and it should be right, or just lower the treble so it sounds a bit muffled.
Otherwise, nice track, it's quite happy coming from someone who was depressed at the time :P
