all joking aside though, game maker is a good program that is useful for proggramming noobs or people who have no experience and want to make a game.
true, it is something that allows you to make pretty fun 2d games
i use gamemaker and the coding still can be pretty hard sometimes but when you get used to the language it is as easy as cutting cake.
the coding is basic but easy to learn. i modded a doom-like engine on gmc to get a metroid prime style game.
