Um am TV-Vorbild zu bleiben, sollen daraus bekannte Charactere (Jack O’Neill, Samatha Carter, Daniel Jackson, Teal'c ...) als Player-Models dienen. Die Waffen werden Stargate-Fans ebenfalls vertraut sein: Die Auswahl wird vom Messer, über Zat'n'ktel, Beretta und P90 bis zu HE-Granaten reichen. Die Stärke der Waffen wird aber zugunsten des Gameplays angepasst.

Der Namenteil "Total Conversion" soll nicht nur von der HL-Version übernommen werden, sondern auch für die Source-Umsetzung gelten. Dementsprechend möchte das Mod-Team sämtlichen Content selbst erstellen. Interessant dürften die Stargates werden, die der Spieler per Codeeingabe nutzen können soll. Die Codes sollen per Menü eingeblendet werden können, doch wer sich vertippt ist natürlich ein leichtes Ziel für Gegner.

Wann es soweit ist und die Mod veröffentlicht wird, ist bisher nicht bekannt. Da aus dem Vorgänger-Projekt viel Content übernommen wurde, dürfte es aber nicht allzu lange dauern. Nach dem Release werden sich die Entwickler neben dem Bugfixing neuen Features, Maps und Spielmodi widmen, auch ein Singleplayer- oder Co-op-Modus wäre laut Team denkbar.
