Published and developed by Grinding Gear Games back in 2013, this action-RPG - Path of Exile - still lasts very popular among gamers. It stroke Steam with about 64 thousand positive reviews, vs almost a thousand of negative ones, isn't that an indicator of a good game? But even though the game was released in 2013, Path of Exile controller support is unavailable at all. That would be a good opportunity to try out, and this file can help you with it.
First of all, there are a few things you'd better find out before you try reWASD. That's how it works: the software uses emulated keyboard and mouse, and the first thing you need to do is to add keyboard mappings to controller buttons. Once the configuration is applied, all the assigned keyboard bindings will reproduce after the controller buttons are pressed.
Specifically for this config: since Neverwinter doesn't have controller support at all, you need to add keyboard mappings, and the config is ready. We used the default in-game controls scheme for making this config, so if you have modified layout you need to whether reset to default or change the bindings inside the config according to your in-game settings. You can modify the config if you need to :)
You have two ways to navigate your character if you use this config:
- If you use Left Stick, you can click it to activate LMB Toggle, and then your character will follow the cursor all along. Don't forget to turn off the toggle while you attack enemies. Left Stick also will function as mouse moves whenever you need to navigate through the menu, etc.
- If you use Right Stick, you can simply move it (LMB click is mapped to Right Stick high zone), and when the High Stick zone is reached - your character will start running to the certain point.
We'll be glad to hear more ideas about point-and-click games controller support from you.
Seems like you're ready to try out how this controller support profile works! There are a few steps you need to complete to enable this config:
- Download and install reWASD (you can use a 14-day trial for basic functionality, and 3-day trial for each advanced feature)
- Download the Path of Exile controller support file from moddb.com and import is to reWASD
- Plug in your gamepad and press Apply
Done! Now you can launch the game and play with controller :)
