A simple modification that removes mechsects (spiders) from Ion Fury v1.1
This mod is intended to be used with Ion Fury v 1.1
There are some people that have a difficult time with the mechsects (spiders) in Ion Fury and have requested a means to be able to remove them from the game. This is typically due to some players having arachnophobia which can cause panic and fear by such visualizations.
To accommodate this desire, all this mod does is spontaneously kills mechsects at the moment that they are spawned. By using this mod, there may be one or more spots within the game that the player will need to momentarily use the 'no clipping' cheat in order to proceed since there may be a door that doesn't open until you've killed all the mechsects in the room, but since you don't get to kill them, the door will remain locked.
To use this mod, simply extract the two files from this zip file into the folder where Ion Fury is installed and then double click on no_spiders.bat to launch the game. Alternatively, you may specify the following command line parameters within your game launcher (such as Steam):
-g no_spiders.grp
