For me Rage already looks like the screenshots you've posted. I use modified config that uses 16k vt page sizes. So what has changed? I downloaded it already btw.

2. "What does "solid virtual texturing with extended range" really mean?" - I did not program it. It was done by another person. I can not tell. If the programmer tells how it is technically done, it will be fine. I only know that this increases the radius of loading (rendering) of the mega-texture.

Can you please make some comparison images so we can see what it is supposed to look like?
Because I compared between vanilla and your mod, and it is better with the original Rage. Both the lighting distance for models and distant texture detail are lower with this mod than the default.
I checked this with both the new Rage.exe and Rage64.
This looks sooooo much better! Textures are now crisp, clear with no more poppin from large texture sizes. Thanks a lot for this.
