Installation:
To install GGXXBS simply drag the main folder from the zip file and extract it anywhere you want on your hard drive. Then simply double click mugen.exe to start the game. Give the game time to load. It may seem like nothing is happening but it is. The Mugen engine is an old engine and GGXXBS is a big game for it to handle.
*If your virsus protection software detects mugen.exe to be a trojan virus tell it to excuse it. It is not a virus. This won't happen to everybody but for some it will.*
What's new in GGXX Bloodshed Type OD+ ********************************************************************************************************************** Taller stages Multiple stage fatalities that are triggered by simply finishing them with a standing "Dust" attack. The ability to kill your enemy by simply finishing them with a standing or crouching hard slash/attack Lots of sound effects added to stages Lots of visual enhancements to the menus, HUD, storyboards, etc. Added ending pictures specific to each character Some stages have had more added features
********************************************************************************************************************** GGXXBS comes equipped with Reshade 3.1.2 to enhance the graphics quality. It requires an OpenGl compliant video card to work. If it does not work on your system ( black screen, corrupted video, flipped screen, etc. ) simply rename or remove the opengl32.dll file in the main GGXXBS folder to deactivate Reshade. If your game is not performing very well due to Reshade do the same. Or if you just don't like the Reshade enhancements feel free to do the same. A GPU driver update may also help fix any issues with Reshade.
A GGXXBS icon has also been included for any shortcuts you may make for the game. **********************************************************************************************************************

I'm love old school Guilty Gear so I tried this game.
And now we often play together with friends so I decided to write a small feedback.
Overall the game feels great and very similar to original Guilty Gear. Very fun to play.
The combo potential is very good. You can do advanced combos more easily than in original game. Much less characters specifics.
AI too easy to beat even on "Hard 8" difficulty all he does is block your attacks and sometimes do random hits, only Faust from time to time can cause some problems.
I'm not a big fan of decision to change original commands of supers to D,F,D,F for all characters. For example two Jam's supers have the same command because of this.
The stages looks great. I like the small upgrades that I can see on the classic stages except the Anji stage, these flashes from fireworks are very annoying, they blind and interfere with play.
About characters:
-I-No: command for "note" projectile was changed so now I-No can't do this special in the air because her other air special has same command.
-Baiken: debuff effects on her guard-cancel supers (like opponent will be unable to jump or takes more damage etc) doesn't work.
-Testament: poison effect (big trees, Nightmare Circular super and parry special) doesn't work.
-Faust: donuts and chocolate doesn't heal the opponent if he takes it. And it would be great if Faust have his poison vial again.
-AC Jam: buffs for Ryuujin, Gekirin and Kenroukaku specials doesn't work (works only if specials was canceled into other specials)
-Robo-Ky: after using a "missile" air special shows large word "Destroyed" and opponent takes no damage. And it would be great if Robo-Ky have special tension bar with temp meter like in original game.
-Justice: auto tension and life recovery is too cheap in my opinion:) (I mean in story mode that's OK but if you play with people it's too cheap)

anemas Thanks for the feedback. I had given up on this game since I never got anything back from users to work with. When I get time I’ll look into these issues. I didn’t make these characters. They were selected from the best of the best GG Mugen adaptations that I could find and then a lot of work was done on my end to make them fit this game. But I will do my best to iron out what I can. For future reference put lengthy reviews like this in an actual review and rate the game. I’ll be sure to see it that way.
hello, i just downloaded the mugen and i'm having problems with the resolution... i use a tv has a monitor, maybe thats the problem? is there a way to configure the resolution???
