FANTASY FLEET 2
I'm not really a modder, but I realized how easy it is to mode GSB to make any space battle happen.
Nothing serious from me. Just inspiration to keep me going.
Anyway, I whipped up some ships, gave them weapons and blew them up. Well, actually the Soullion universe was based on a Sci-fi universe of mine and some others that I knew I never had time to write a book on. So I thought, heck, might turn some of them to life. The MOD is now called Fantasy Fleet 2. I've been adding more and more ships. It's just so mixed now.

This will be my final version. I will no longer continue with this mod. Recommend GSB 1.59. But it should still run with previous versions that have SWARM and ORDER race already installed. Please BACKUP your original copy of GSB just in case.
You also need to read "README FIRST" text file because it will instruct you how to install the pre-saved ships into your documents directory (don't worry, it won't override anything). Or if you don't want to, you can build your ships from scratch, but it's easier to follow the README FIRST instructions.
Also and always, please back up your original version before installing this mod.
Yes, there is a FANTASY FLEET 1 mod, but I am not the creator of that mod. It's not on MODDB either. You can try finding that mod on Google. The creator of that mod is HOPEFAST. His mod includes Startrek, Starwars, Babylon, SCY EDF.
Some ships appear as white balls of light, and some are gigantic white squares.
Also the 'ship damage' textures are squares that just look really ugly.
Did I install the mod wrong?
Hi Roan, sorry about that. I tested this on version 1.59 and it seems to work okay. There has been issues with other mods that have had the same white square issue too due to incompatible versions, but oddly enough, it runs on their machine just fine. It might be graphical memory issue, but my initial bet would be version issue. As for textures that become squares, I gave hull textures more areal damage (e.g: 1 hit does not make the whole ship ruined but just where it got hit), but causes the squares mentioned. I tried to make it so that it has alpha feathering around the squares, but failed :( My mod has limitations, sorry about that.

Hi, sorry about the wait. To install it, all you have to do is copy Gratuitous Space Battles to where you have your GSB directory. If your directory is not called Gratuitous Space Battles, look inside the Gratuitous Space Battles directory, copy everything to your corresponding directory. E.G: data directory to data directory, campaign directory to campaign directory.... etc. Then run the game, if it works you will have a new race selection available called "Fantasy Fleet 2" If you want to use precustomized ships, copy GratuitousSpaceBattles (notice no spaces between words) to your My documents\My Games\GratuitousSpaceBattles . I tried to make it as simple as I could. Sorry about the technicality.
Hey I have got a problem: I deploy big reaper (Sovereign, Harbinger, Dreadnought) and when I try to start fight, game have big lag and crash. Please help me with this. If my english is bad I'm Sorry, because I'm from Poland
Hi Crafcik, sorry for slow response. Some of the bigger ships take a while to load. If you are talking about the screen where it is loading the battle, it didn't crash, it just takes long time to load graphics into RAM because the ship graphics is very hi resolution. For example, the Hammerhead dreadnought takes 10 seconds for me on SSD drive to load. For HDD drive, it could take 2 to 3 times as long. Just have to wait. Once it loads, it is fast next time you start battle again :)

Just to be safe, you need the Swarm and Order race to play, since they use modules from these DLC pack. I'm sure once you have those races, it should work properly.
where do i put the final fantazy fleet folder
and everytime i click on the BAT. FF2 it comes up runtime error
