ECWAlpha7 is a sandbox version of WFaS starting 10th September 1642 and set in the three kingdoms of England, Scotland & Ireland.

Factions - Royalist, Parliament, Scots Covenanters, Irish Confederates and a Peace Party, which soon dies and its adherents choose sides at random. The Royalists are at war with Parliament and the Scots Covenanters. Parliament is at war with the Royalists and Irish Confederates. The Scots Covenanters are at war with the Royalists and Irish Confederates. The Irish Confederates are at war with Parliament and the Scots Confederates.

Features - artillery, sea travel, animated battle flags, animated windmills and watermills, artillery trains, gunpowder crafting, formations, bridge battles, customisable regimental pikemen and musketeers, bridge guards, trained bands patrolling faction capitals, crime & punishment, simple sea battles, most armours feminized & optimised, bread making, scene make-overs, starting as a leader with reasonable equipment and quick recruitment.

It's recommended that players choose sides at the start, but you can choose to be neutral.
