Basic concept:

Bad Girl is an homage to the movies, games and music of the 1990's. In practice, this means stuff like Virtua Cop-style light flashes when you hit enemies, ammo pickups being represented by rotating 3D models and a sound track consisting of Drum 'n Bass/ Eurodance. You play as Bad Girl, a cop who's the only one able to save the tropical nation of Nishinsill when the Yakuza try to take over. The game mostly takes place in a sky scraper, with players advancing from floor to floor.

From a gameplay perspective, the game's a third person shooter with open level design, similar to what's found in the likes of Goldeneye. Players need to kill enemies and save hostages to progress to the next level. To make the game feel 90's, as well as to make it more accessible/laid back, players don't need to aim up or down, just like in classic games like Doom and Die Hard Trilogy.

What the game needs to reach its full potential is a skilled animator who can make gameplay animations for the game's protagonist (and the four in-game weapons) and a few different enemy types. A requested trait is for someone who's a skilled communicator. Someone who's willing to have a dialog on what the animations should look like.

Requirements:

  • Experience with the Unity game engine, sufficient to test your animations.
  • Basic experience with skinning, rigging and animation
  • Time to dedicate to the project
  • Good communication skills
