After quite some discussion and pizza, Team Charnel is now known as Pipe Games! We hope everyone likes our new logo and team name.
In related news, Pipe Games is very pleased to welcome our newest member, Tanika, bumping us up to a team count of 4! Tanika is a skilled animator and artist, and she also helped out a bunch with the recent Indie Game showcase where the team got the chance to show off Charnel. There were lollies, cardboard cut-outs, sweaty gamers, and many awesome indie games to check out. A very enjoyable evening indeed! If you're interested, you can read more about the showcase here.
Now that our very first game, Charnel, has been released and we've completed the capstone project for the QUT Bachelor of Games and Interactive Entertainment course, the team is determined to keep on working together to expand our skills and knowledge and keep on making games!
Already we've begun preliminary work on a fresh project. We're keeping the details under wraps for now, but what we can say is that we're taking quite a different direction in terms of the type of game it's going to be. Keep an eye out for more info on the horizon!
For the Charnel fans, don't worry! We love working with the Charnel concept and the feedback we've received so far regarding the first version of Charnel has been very encouraging. Pipe Games undoubtedly intends to continue working on further iterations of Charnel at some point in the not too distant future. When it comes to upgrading the game, we want to deliver a much greater level of polish and refinement the next time around, but to do this we suspect some talent scouting (ahem...more than one programmer) and many hours of hard work and study are needed. That being said, we will try our darnedest to support the current version of Charnel as long as necessary!
So, to all our watchers and to anyone who has downloaded or supported us in any way, thank you very, very much! We've got our foundations laid down, now it's full steam ahead for Pipe Games!
