Lance.gg is the team behind the open-source Lance Multiplayer Engine. Our technology is applicable in wide-area-network games, wide-area-network simulations, Virtual Reality arenas, and social applications. This technology provides multi-player or multi-agent participation in a single physics scene – even when the participants are geographically dispersed. Lance Technologies consists of a central authoritative server and geographically dispersed clients which simulate a single physical environment. In such an environment, physical events such as acceleration (linear and rotational), collisions, generation/destruction of objects, and atomic events will propagate slowly, so Lance performs the logic to reduce the effect of this lag. The result is a common smooth visual experience for each participant.
