CodeWorx Studios was founded by Hunter Mayer in September 2008. Although the first revenues were made doing contract work for the defense industry, there was always a desire to make games. But it was decided to take work on a lucrative GIS visualization defense contract until that funding source dried up. The doors shut for a while when the contracts ended. Hunter was absorbed as an employee and the official CodeWorx effort was put into mothballs. In July of 2011 when he began collaborating with Chad Towns of Appsomniacs.com to work on iOS games. The doors were opened, the forges rekindled, and spirits renewed. (and we are finally making games!)
