New Classic RTS Development Advice / Interest Thread

Hi,

I'll start by admitting that I am a complete newbie to this world, though I am an avid old school RTS gamer (I am 42 years old).

I am just starting to delve into the development world but I am interested in making an RTS game because great ones are very difficult to come by, think of Warcraft 1,2 and 3, C&C series, LOTR BFME, COH, etc... and so far have thought of a couple of themes / stories that haven't been used, as far as I know, in this game genre before.

Any advice or interest in such a project would be highly welcome 🙏🏻
