Definitely, but there will still be a cost in terms of buying the license for both Unity's PS4 build and a PS4 console devkit. It's a matter of seeing what price they come up with.
Yeah. I loved Xbox and Xbox 360 but I am already disliking Xbox One and I have a feeling that MS is going to be the next company to back out from console making.
XNA from what I've heard was awesome to work with, but the Xboned won't work with it. Microsoft is stupid for dumping it, in my opinion, given how well it's been received. Maybe they have something else up their sleeve... No idea.
Sony has really been pushing how much they're supporting established indie devs like Ragtag Studios, Jonathan Blow and Supergiant Games, but I haven't heard much about what they're planning to do for less established devs.
PC gaming is awesome but Windows 8 is not, so anyone who does run Windows is going to need to stay on 7 for as long as possible. Steam, Desura, etc. are still there though, so... I've got hope for PC.
Time will only tell which platform will be the most indie-friendly.
I have always preferred Xbox, but I'm real upset about this lack of Indie game support, I'm still going to wait and see what happens yet as I am still in two minds.
I think it's quite exciting that you can develop for PS4 with Unity though, that's something I am looking forward to!
I have only had the xbox 360 for almost two years and to be honest, I find it fun. Although you pay for service, super lag mode is always initiated and on games like cod the only people you hear are whiny 10 year old newbs. Ive had FUN. I may sound like some MS fan but to be honest from what ive seen and heard the xbox one is going to suck balls. Im really disappointed with the ideas and options they have put into the new xbox. For consoles though, the PS4 doesn't sound bad. The only thing im glad about is that battlefield 4 comes out on the 360 aswell as the xbox one (And watchdogs too :D) so im going to be sticking with the 360, well till they decide to balls it up and shutdown the servers :3
Sorry to disappoint, but your all wrong,
PC will meet its end, Steam Box is no doubt, a PC-GAMING-CONSOLE thing, our computers don't stand a chance against this, and neither does XBOX One or PS4, Steam Box will own all, just look it up if you don't believe me, you should always CHECK before you COMMENT
PC is a dead market, not a dead system. Great for work. Terrible for gaming. I honestly feel within the next 5 years from now that PC will be less acceptable for gaming. The piracy of the PC will eventually run away all developers from it. It's just a question of win.
PC wrecks them both.
Yep
xbox one will have windows 8?
wat?! xD no! Of course not. Also, PC sure is better but you would have to pay like 800 bucks to get a PC with equal horsepower to X1 or PS4
David, one of the founder of Unity 3D, in an interview, said that Unity collaborated with sony to makes Unity more powerfull also in PS4.

Wii U anyone?
Smash Bros... just sayin'
Wii U had a deal with Unity before PS4 and XB1
M$ is a terrible company and now they have gone and made a terrible console.
this is coming from a 7 year xbox 360 fan

I've got a wait and see approach.

Elaborate flame war by INtense! initiated.
PC smashes them both at the same time

And sorry for sounding like a real fanboy, I love all the consoles from PS4 to NES
PC is the greatest but for 8th gen systems: PS4 & Wii U > Xbox One
PC KICKS ***! FTW!!!
there is nothing better than pc
