It's been 5 Days since Deep Dark Wrath's release! I'm hoping all who have bought it is having fun diving the depths of the Dungeon. I was supposed to bring these content updates after a few weeks but I kinda had the drive to complete these mechanics as I was releasing the game so I got them done way to early. The problem? I then found a pretty big visual Wrath Anger bug after finishing those mechanics, so I kinda needed to get a new update out early.

TL;DR Changelog

Added

  • Oracle Reversion allowing you to modify your Oracle Pieces(in turn modify Dungeon difficulty) once you finish the game
  • Hold for Quick Area Map via Space / L1 / LT / dedicated Map Button for Mobile
  • Another Map HUD at the Front of the Map Table
  • Icons of Attack(UI Accept) and Regen when they can be used to shortcut for HUDs

Fixed

  • Rebinding Options says Dash instead of Sprint
  • Options Focus Button not losing Focus
  • Abandon and Abandon-like Buttons still activating even when already hidden
  • Wrath Bar at a Glance not showing up in subsequent runs after a Wrath Anger

V1.1.1 - Some Quick and Easy Updates and Fixes

One small, but quite nifty, addition is a Quick Area Map so that you’ll be able to see the map of the area vaguely. The design is very much inspired by Hollow Knight’s own Quick Map.

While I do want Adventurers to gather map knowledge on their own, this will help the onboarding experience a little better so you’re not totally lost. And it only vaguely shows the map, the Points, Enemies, Key Items, and Walls won’t show up. It just shows the rough outline of the area and the entry and exits. Essentially you have the Map in the Compendium in your hands.

Once you have a good idea of what to do, you can just not use it anymore. It’s some option I’ve been thinking about whether I wanted it in or not, but ultimately it’ll help a new Adventurer learn a bit quicker and better. I’m hoping it’ll make for a better experience.

I also had some bugs to fix and some smaller additions added.

V1.1.3 - Oracle Reversion

This is a weird endgame addition to kind of replay the game. Oracle Reversion allows you to modify the number of Oracle Pieces you have, essentially allowing you to revert the difficulty of the Dungeon. It's like a save reset but you don't have to lose all your cards or do tedious looking through game files. With the Adventurer being able to just not run Cards or turn off their abilities like Fireball, you can setup your Adventurer as if you just started a new save file.

Does it have any repercussions or extra boosts? I don't think I'll be adding such, maybe an Achievement Stamp in the future counting how many Full Reverts you've done. Is it simply a way to pad content? Yes. I don't really remember why but it was also a back-burner idea of mine to give this game a reset save option, and well, this is it.

The GIF seems to look like it is skipping some numbers but it does indeed scroll through 0 to 7, and the highest accumulated Oracle Pieces. The highest accumulated amount also accounts for how many you’ve gained even if you lowered the current Oracle Piece amount.

After all of those were done, I then found that the recently added Wrath Anger fangs don't show up again if you the Wrath got Angered in a previous run. While it is only a visual bug, that's still an important UI element Adventurers need to see. It was also just moving 1 line of code to the main reset function too.

I’m terribly sorry if the Wrath Fangs visual bug has inconvenienced you. I really should have tested it more and looked into it more.

I really do hope you enjoy experiencing the Dungeon, plundering as much as you can, and strengthening your Adventurer to quell the Deep Dark Wrath! I'm also hoping these new changes will help you further enjoy the game. I've been having fun replaying the game again, especially with the new mechanics and proper bugfixes, as well as just resting from development and polishing.

The game engine looks great! Even though they already reached stable version, a lot of important things still missing like

-IAP for IOS, Android, Windows
-Ads network Admob, iad , mopub and more ads network.
-Google Play Game services (for android and IOS)
-HTML5 still broken
-I think there is an official Game Center plugin
-Documentations still not completed.

The engine is awesome. Keep up the good work. This has the potential to overtake that Unity crowd. However I must say the scripting code could use some work.
