I feel like there should be a popular vote, and a judged vote. Titans which have existed for years will take all the top spots, where as the smaller releases will get pushed out.
But I'm biased, because our game will never be able to compete in popularity with games like Minecraft, etc.
Previous winners typically don't qualify, though they still take spots in the top 100
Need people to stop voting for games like fan-games of Pokemon and Sword Art, at least 20% of the votes must be going on them, and they aren't eligible to place in the awards. :/
This is always a good initiative to pull up those interesting games that people are not picking up on. Good move IndieDB :)
