This week we've gotten a first draft of the first level all set up and implemented a new tower.

Hello everyone! This week has been a bit busy with some other projects so we couldn't get as much done for Soul Defender as we would've liked. This doesn't mean we didn't get anything done however!

For starters our artist is starting to work towards modelling, though he's still inexperienced with the program and needs some time to come to grips with it. Beyond that he's also starting to study possibilities for enemy designs, and we look forward to the time we have something to show you.

In the meantime, when it comes to programming and game design we have started work on the first level and a new tower type, both of which are showcased on this video! The level is a simple introduction to our philosophy going forward. Relatively small maps, many tower spots, different paths to split player attention, and vantage points to remove the need for a minimap. Awareness is entirely on you as a player! As for the tower it works fairly simply for now, it shoots out several weaker rays in a fan shape at random angles, think of it as your shotgun for this game.
