What is Giant Bear Rampage?
Long story short, Giant Bear Rampage is a first-person game where you play as a GIANT MUTATED BEAR that gained super powers after falling into flowing toxic waste! You become a kaiju and naturally, start destroying towns and cities nearby. Using Plasma attacks, Flamethrower Attacks, Ice Attacks and Laser blasts or just Punching with your giant claws, cause enough destruction and mayhem to unlock the next levels!
The game features some first person platforming elements, fully destructible environments, silly physics which includes ragdoll people and props like cars and trucks. The Game is set in a low poly art style with colorful and charming minimalist aesthetic features.
There is a Sandbox mode, where there are no enemies, there are also multiple difficulty settings too. Which unlock various achievements if you’re using the Steam client to play.
Who made it?
The game itself was independently developed by a single person with basically no budget aside software costs, All art assets, sound assets and 3d models etc... Were all designed and produced by “MikeyB” found on twitter @GameDevMikey who founded Red Dragon Interactive - RedDragonInteractive or @RedDragonInt on Twitter. All but the engine itself, which is Unreal Engine 4. The game was produced over a two year period and was built using UE4 (Unreal Engine 4), FL Studio 12, Maya LT, Photoshop CC and Audacity.
Future plans for the game possibly include; other monsters and kaijus to battle, more super powers, more levels and an extended soundtrack! It's all dependent on how well the game sells and what sort of budget there will be to expand the content.
