I have news for you which will possibly be an advantage to you. The Emperor wants us to test our capabilities at propaganda. This means, that we've got to make holoreels, or videos if you can't make holoreels. The creator of best holoreel or video will get a reward from the Emperor himself. This reward will be this: The winner may pick any amount of games to be gifted through Desura, up to a combined worth of max €20,-. Yes, this means a real prize.
I will now list the terms under which the contest will take place:
- Videos must be longer than 1 minute.
- Must contain VP content for more than 80%.
- Maximum of 1 submission per participant.
- Videos must be submitted before the end of september (23:59 - 30 september).
- Submit your videos to one or more public streaming video services before the deadline. Voting will last until 1 november. The one with the highest amount of views counts in the scores.
- The developers vote each video, and the developer's score, multiplied with the highest view count on a streaming site makes the final score.
- Videos get extra bonus score if they include MU4 content. So creators are encouraged to include MU4 in their videos!
- Links to videos must be submitted in this thread. Each person who submits may only post their links in one post. Only links submitted in that post are counted.
- Winners will be declared before 15 november.
I guess Major Update 4 will be released a short time after this notice, before saturday 10 september. So keep watching this space.
The Emperor told me the exact methods of determining who will win may change as the Emperor sees fit. But I can assure you that not much will change, as this is as he has foreseen it. I think the Emperor has been very generous, so get going Commanders! Don't disappoint The Emperor! May the force be with you!

if you don't know much about making movies or want something for free, Windows Live/Essentials Movie Maker is a good start. If you want something more advanced, use Sony Vegas Pro 9 or 10.
And use fraps for recording :)
The Emperor just sent me a direct message through the holonet. Prizes can also be handed out on GOG.com, Gamersgate and Steam!
And Videos don't have to be about The Empire. They may also be about other factions, or just general mod videos.
If there are less than 3 submissions when the deadline closes, the deadline will be extended!
