One of the tasks of level design team is improvement of environment. We are getting to know our tools better and better and still learning new tricks. So time to take advantage from it. In first step we upgraded some models. Now we are planning to remake some terrain control textures. By generating better terrain diffuse texture, detail texture masks and vegetation masks ve can provide even better visual quality without any performance impact!
Vegetation upgrade
There are some really awesome vegetation assets in unity asset store. But I'm not sure it would work with Unigine?
Yes, we are using some of them, it is not big problem to convert these assets into Unigine (or any other engine). Previous version of world was based purely on these assets. But now we are in process of replacing some of them with even better ones (much more detailed mesh, higher texture resolution, various performance optimizations):

Cool! You know, I've looked at Manufactura k4's stuff. They have amazing nature packs for a whole bunch of different nature themes. You should check them out, they'd look great in your game.
Our game is mostly based on mk4 stuff. We own all packages from Mk4 and we are using them quite a lot:

But in this case we replaced Mk4 models, because we ve got better ones. All Mk4 vegetation is based on Unity tree generator, but this tool in now becaming obsolete.
