I am sorry for not being able to get the video out this week, but that was because of computer problems, (Had bought "new" ram and turns out the ram wasn't good and fried my motherboard, so i spent the most of my weekend going through boxes upon boxes to find my previous motherboard for my system.) So instead of the video this week, here is some music that was made by joyfulsushi and is titled "Town of Beginnings" and the other one is called Days by the same person. Also this is our theory of how the nerve gear should work, 1. using something like an emp that is positioned at the base of the neck and is tuned to the frequencies that cause movement, and then blocks them out. 2. Using electrodes that are positioned all around the brain, and then by turning them off and on at certain events i.e such as picking up a sword that ways 50 pounds or more. That would then send data to the nerve gear- then to the electrodes telling which set or clusters need to be turned on and stimulated.
Also you are reading this before new years- happy early new years and if after Happy belated new years.

How can you burn your motherboard by changing ram! That's so easy to do.. xDDDD

Btw, if someone has to do big renders or even a video on rendered map + animated objects, i suggest a quad core 2.7, a gtx780 (~3go allocated), 16 to 32 go ram. It'll avoid to do a frame per quarter of hour.

Still good. If it's over 2.5Ghz per core, no probs.

Akira, there is a company called "Neurowear" maybe use their idea a bit, it senses emotions by using electrical impulses, maybe add that in? and also, instead of using just electrodes make the inside of the helmet completely out of electrodes using them to sense or intercept nerve movements, while "shocking" your nervous system so you don't actually move when you try to?

Make sure you model the human VERY accurately. Something like an unusual arm or skinny leg can put discomfort on the user. Maybe make a character creator with aspects like changing height, metabolism, Hairtypes, Color, or whatever. If the player gets the chance, they will touch everything, including their mouth, like to stretch out another player's smile, so make sure the mouth is done correctly too. You're also going to have to know where to send all the electrodes, so you might wanna do a bit of brain anatomy. Will the clothing be stiff, or be able to move freely and normal, and even be able to take off clothing without the inventory menu? Could you do some vlogs of your work?
That is all ^-^

I agree with the character creator thing. I imagine something like Skyrim's customisation (but with a LOT more options and variety) whilst not disrupting the whole VR thing may work.

Just a question, will the realistic style be applied to the characters as well ? (it isn't precised in the faq)

Just the idea of "realistic graphics" kill the magic a bit, but if the characters will follow the same rule, this is not sao anymore..

yes the characters will be realistic since it was stated that sao had photorealistic graphics

Oh damn, i knew it..

I'll see how it looks when the video will come out..

Btw, since you have changed your mb, there's no more problem for uploading it, right ? Except if your hdd took hard too. :p

So if a have understood everything you, are using EEG technolegy to detect brain activiti. That information Will be sent into a dimond semiconductor cpu that Will transform The brain activiti into code. Depending on what The player is thinking, where The player is and what is happening around him/her The nervegear Will use electrodes to send information to The brain. If i am corect you Will not be able to send video from The game to The brain using electrodes.
