If you haven’t already discovered it then the update task countdown can be found here. At the time of writing 11 tasks remain, down from a total of 26 when we opened it up to public consideration two and a half weeks ago.
As the countdown ticks down we’ll be releasing a few more screenshots and videos to let you see what’s about to hit our version of zombie-town USA, but in the mean-time we haven’t mentioned the new thirst system in a blog. So if you haven’t already seen it – check out our Just Add Water vid. This demonstrates how characters will now need to fill containers full of water, which will then be drunk automatically as you roam around Muldraugh. The water supply will fail at some point, so it might be wise to stock up…
We’ll post another blog later this week chatting to our composer Zach Beever about the new music that he’s recorded for the update, but in the meantime here’s a few sneak peeks of some of the locations that you’ll be visiting in the expanded map.

That lighting is so ugghhhhh.
Compared to the way it used to look, I think it looks amazing. Just wish it would hurry up and get here already.....
Define ugh.. I think the lighting looks a lot smoother then it did before.
:D yay lights in the houses, I was getting tired of stumbling around to make something in the middle of the night to eat.
Its all about opinion. I would have to play it to decide, but the new lighting and graphic system looks quite nice together from what I see.
Think you could do what Minecraft does and include an option for the old lighting?
