Unnatural Selection has been posted on Steam Greenlight! It's a game that features a species of mutant fish evolving according to the player's wishes, until strong enough to break out of robot jail. It supports co-operative and head-to-head multiplayer modes.

This my first post about a game I'm very proud of! This game was produced with a team of two students who knew next to nothing at the beginning of our journey. Please reply with any comments, we'd love to hear from you.

Chomp your way to the bottom of the ocean in this eat-em-up adventure. Don't let the untasty robots stop you. Evolve and crunch them up, along with anything else in your path! The world is your oyster, so eat it already! Far in the future, a catastrophic war between organics and machines has concluded with the end of all organic life. Yet, their victory has left the machines hollow and empty, and curious about their creators. Some, in secret, have succeeded in recreating life within a tiny acquatic eden. But life is not so easily controlled - and soon, one species begins to mutate rapidly...

So much for Natural Selection? :P The only reason I'll vote for this game is because it has Co-Op ^^ Make it happen guys!

Oh, it's happening! :D We're 100% committed to getting co-op completely awesome before release. Multiplayer is probably the main element that differentiates this game from other games in the same genre. And who doesn't want to fight over food with their friends? I'm looking forward to hearing stories about friends betraying each other over that last bit of food to stave off starvation. It's totally Darwinian.

I'm very curious how you're going to do co-op! Big +1 if you ask me.

The fishes look hilarious (in a good, not laughing-at-you way), I really like the style. Good luck guys! You have my vote.

Awesome to see that I'm not the only one posting a two-student-games-on-Greenlight on this site, haha. If you like co-op games, I'd of course like you to take a look: Indiedb.com

Thanks gekooktei! I looked at your game and gave it +1! Us indie developers have to support each other. I really like your music btw and gameplay seems nice and fluid. I sometimes get awfully bogged down in 3D logic on this game, and I envy your simplicity.
Co-op should be really fun, I think that's what's going to be our most popular game mode (like yours). You'll be able to discuss with your partner on what evolutionary paths to take - probably one meat eater and one plant food eater, since they don't interfere with each other as much - and support each others' eating habits with your class abilities. Also, eat your friends corpse if they have an unfortunate accident. :D
