A bit information about our progress here in ZEQ2-Lite: War of Z

Legendary Add-on Team is currently working slow at this time, because of schools, lack of members in the group, and some other reasons.
  • Our Goal
    Our goal is to make a mod something NEW, something we ENJOY.
    By creating new characters and maps, we hope that we will be successful

    We will try to Improve animations of every character. Also, we will see the improvement of the game method.

    Wish you all have a good time playing Zeq2.

I agree about improving things and all, but i'm skeptical about the engine's limits and the decisions that will be taken about it.

I'm affraid an engine change would involve into an almost full redo of the actual contents, not changing it would make us stuck on many points because it is clearly outdated and present many constraints on quality improvments, stability, gameplay etc....

The bad point is that we will loose almost all what we already have.. The good point is that more peoples are working on recent engines (logic..) and a renovation can only bring tons of advantages to the next of the development.

It's something that has to be though of.

oh, i already thought of that, i am going to do just like Nello's. 20 simple characters. and i found a way to Compile the players, ZaichiZ taught me hehe. so.. when i tried that, you could get 34 fps maximum and 20 fps minimum.

also, i just maximized the mesh group to 8 only.. the old was 10. and i removed rocks explosion, because that would cause lags, i will just use smokes explosions.

everything is planned ;) don't worry, it is still on work

As i said to nello, you can use the code update with a certain scheme to make a max of contents and keeping everything optimised. That's on game stability content and quality.

For the performances, it's brutal high qual models load/display, particles and world reflections that decrease the fps

But even if everything is optimised and all (as i tried to do on my project), it isn't enough and it wouldn't solves the 3/4 of the problems. More we wait, and more the engine change is inevitable.

I think both engine q3 and unity reads c#, so, nothing is lost i think.

as i said, i already know that

before you make a house, you need a plan right? :)

so i have already a plan that's why i made this MOD.
i know what to do
