Welcome to Saturday Update #7!
This is something we worked on for R1, but it never made it to release. We're excited to share you with Stat Tracking and Ranking!
Thank you again for everyone being so patient with us! I hope you all had a great holiday season! We know we did and it's great to be back in the swing of things. You'll excuse us for this update for not having associated media, as it is based solely on an exciting new system and not in-game related mechanics.
One thing we really wanted to add to NNK was replayability and something more competitive. It's great being able to jump in and out of servers and beat the snot out of other players, but who's to say who is the best? We worked on this for R1, but it never made the cut.
NNK Stats is an entire system that tracks everything. What ninjas you play most, which attacks or weapons are used most often, how many kills you've attained. You'll be able to matter of factly link other people your profile to let them know exactly where you stand in the rankings of other ninjas. Ever wonder where you and a friend stand against one another? Now you'll know for sure.
This also introduces a much more exciting aspect, of being able to rank you own teams against others. Which clan is the best? Who should you join or choose to compete against? NNK Stats will allow you to see your clan's ranking against others and challenge them to settle the score. Competitive play will become a true reality of NNK, with teams fiercely competing for the top spot. Get your friends ready!
Beyond that though, this also benefits us. We'll be able to see what attacks and weapons are used the most and least, which characters, maps, everything. We are able to review the information and see how the game is being played. It shows us in real time what are the most popular and unpopular aspects of the game so we can easily make updates to fix them. The overall goal is to have every weapon, attack, and character played equally. With NNK Stats we'll be able to do that much more efficiently!

I'm sad that your team is not using Goldsource engine(Half-Life engine) but it has it's limits and unity is a new engine and I'm exicted for what your team has coming up.
I think unity is better engine than half-life one...
And probably easier to use.
Is it like top ninja of all time, top ninja of the month, top ninja of the week or all of them?
Because when I join the game say 3 months after release it'd be practically impossible to get near top rankers if it's all time top and they have thousand matches under their belt.
I've had the download for like 2 months but I have no idea how to start it. How do you start it?
What you have is an old Half-Life mod version. That means you need Half-Life (not Half-life 2) to install and run it. Installing it should be fairly straightforward process.
