Greetings Troopers!
We'd just like to give people a quick update regarding a recent disruption to service of both the mod First Strike in general and the dev team run Rebel Defiance server.
The server housing all the content involved with the development of First Strike was recently closed down and the transferal of all that data to a new location unfortunately did not go as smoothly as we had hoped. There were a few issues with ensuring that the launcher successfully pointed to the new server when looking for updates, which in turn meant that anyone installing First Strike for the first time during this period would not be able to successfully gain access to the latest updates essential for running the game and ensuring that you're running the same up to date version of the mod that everyone else has. This has now been successfully rectified and anyone wishing to try out First Strike should now be able to do so without issue.
Additionally in a bizarrely timed unrelated event our service provider for our game server also went through a time of transition the same week resulting in our server going down as warnings about the impending change became lost to our junk folder. Fear not however as this issue has also been resolved, and as of now both the game server and all facilities related to First Strike are open for business again with a full recommencement of service.

Good to hear. Yeah, we're working on some new campaign ideas as we speak. We'll have news on that front soon. In the meantime make sure you're about this Sunday as we'll try and make a night of it to celebrate the recommencement of First Strike services.
