After a successful Greenlight campaign and a run on three separate bundles, The Ingenious Machine is now available for PC and MacOS via Steam, with a 15% discount at launch.
The Steam version is based on the "New and Improved Edition" that was previously released on Desura, and later ported to mobile. The New and Improved Edition doubled the number of levels and added more gadgets to play with.
As an added bonus, the Steam version features exclusive new content, designed to help prevent the game from becoming too repetitive. It includes an entirely new soundtrack, with a modified theme tune, and three in-game background tunes. Also, the characteristic blueprint-style background changes as you play, becoming increasingly distressed and grimy with every failed attempt at completing each level.
Although the new content is specific to the Steam version, Steam keys will be supplied with the Desura release. So if you have already bought the Desura version, you can download the Steam version for free.
