Is the download on the site compatible with an x86 OS?

The x86 version isn't directly linked on the site, but you can find it on download.onelatenight.com/OneLateNight_x86.zip though the download mirrors has been updated here now as well.

Yay, something horror related that isn't Slender.

It's definitely not Slender, but perhaps Slender's wife? ;-)

There's no install required. You should only be needed to run the file.

Downloading... VERY EXCITED TO PLAY. I'll tell you what I thought of the game when I finish! Anyway the screenshots are great and the game if good could be improved to something like Slender:The Arrival detail. Many people mentioned it was like Slender. I'll have to see!

It's nothing like Slender, I can tell you that much. The game was made to show that short horrors doesn't have to be all about jumpscares and collecting random pages in a forest with no background story to support it.

The game and the atmosphere are great, but I noticed that after loading a saved game, there is no option to hide anymore. And, how to throw a candle? The game displayed the message "Throw the candle!" but I didn't know how. I was running away and after some time lights returned. Then I got into my office and got stuck between chair and table xD Doesn't matter, I still have that save.
PS: I have DX9 version for 32-bit Windows.

These issues have been fixed in the latest update. You can only throw the candle when it's lit. It is your backup weapon when the battery runs out in the flashlight.
