Thank you to everyone who downloaded the first alpha of Apollony. Even though it is in rough state, I'm happy to have it out and looking forward to feedback so it can grow in content, complexity, and refinement. Towards that end, here is a peak at the upcoming updates I'm currently working on.
50+ new buildings and art assets are being added.
The UI is being styled to feel less like a Java application. A new UI layout will also be coming out to incorporate building research and upgrades, including a better overview of buildings that have been built and their production.
-Huge expansion to the toolkit
The next major update to improve the gameplay features and complexity will be starting out with an expanded toolkit. Adding the ability to create any number of resource types along with support for buildings to use and produce these objects. Research is also going to be added allowing players to invest in buildings by applying perks or upgrades to better versions of that building. Like a LV solar collector to a MV solar collector, or buildings all using Universal Voltage (UV). Finally, there is going to be a small tool to packet all these together in a single file or lock the user created content for people who do not want their work modified. This will most likely be done to the official content packs as well.
