In this video, David shows off the new attachable armor / general object feature by giving a rabbit custom wooden armor and demos how it works with the color picker.

Here is the latest in our new weekly Overgrowth alpha format! David himself took some time to illustrate the traditional changelog in video form.

Don't forget that you can help support us, try out our weekly alphas (such as the one in the video), and chat with other preorderers in the Secret Preorder Forum by preordering Overgrowth.

Be sure to watch it in HD!

The features highlighted in the above video are as follows (among some extra ones thrown in for good measure):

- Attachment system for non-weapon gear
- Added 20 gear attachment slots
- Items can be tinted using color picker
- Color picker starts at current color of seleted object
- Fixed problem with enemies drawing non-weapon items when threatened
- Item attachment only works with the attachment slots, not character bounding boxes

Thanks as always for all the support! See you guys in IRC and the forums.

Also, feel free to support us by preordering Overgrowth!

Just like someone asked in the Youtube comments: does the armor protect you in any way? I'm very curious about this feature myself. And if so, then how could the player utilize this feature in real time?

maybe used an armored arm to deflect light sword strikes similar to a shield.

Oh! I can't wait to see what kinds of characters you can create using custom armour equipment. It's far more visually diverse than the colour picker. Not to knock the colour picker, but it'll be better to have both armour AND colouration!

"Maybe a fencer would wear more armor on one side" I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they did/do lol
