during the past two weeks mainly two things happened: Public beta of Episode 1 is out and test results are interpreted and included in bugfixes. Secondly further minor improvements of the whole application are made in preparation for having a solid base for upcoming production of Episode 2.
With a view to an Android version of the game our production pipeline was enhanced with a custom build tool that provides a visual, tree-based interface for creating various build actions like compiling, merging files and creating output bundles. More about this may follow in a separate making-of-post in future.
An approach to increase the performance of the pixelation algorithms turned out to be a fail due to a couple of side effects that relativate the earnings of rendering speedups. Therefore rendering stays as it is for now.
Additionally a new menu design is under construction for clearer design which is meant to be more genre specific.
