talk on the new blood remake being worked on by a different developer

Posted by on

Hi ,

As some of you know there a new blood remake in development.

Indiedb.com

he has contacted me about my game and i want to share my thoughts on the subject

to be honest i haven't really had any time to work on the game. the person working on this new title seems to have progressed a bit more than i have even though it's been so long. I'm an artist not a programmer so there's nothing really functional about my version of the remake here are some screen shots

blood evo 05

blood evo 04

blood evo 03

blood evo 02

keep in mind it's all visuals .

I have asked if he would like to maybe collaborate with my build of the game - his answer was that he is unable to. I'm interested to see where he could take it and maybe obtain artists to crank up the visuals maybe..

bottom line i guess is that i'm not always able to work on this game and it still requires a lot of dedication. from what I've seen this new project has potential...

You both have one goal and you really need to work together. I can't get why he's unable? Sometimes it's looks too selfish for me. Making some great stuff it's much funny and easy for devs... Odd.

I've edited the post, what i meant to say was that he was unable to work with my build of the game.

His game is made in Unity, so I assume that problem is that your project is in UE4. I'd imagine he's not confident with using C++ or something along those lines.

You should work together. His game play is there but your art direction is superior. Teaming up could work.

Since you admitted your more of an artist perhaps think about switching to unity engine and bringing the art assets you have made over.

Exactly, just do it in Unity. Visually you may need to sacrifice a little bit on shaders but it will still look good and will definitely give a big boost with progress to your mods (which in the end is the most important and rewarding too).
