It's been about time PlanB get's a proper Multiplayer rework! The multiplayer of this game hasn't been working correctly since back in the unity4 days.
Back then i was using Raknet, but after Unity decided to discontinue the support for Raknet i had switched to Forge Networking. although this is a good Networking solution i didn't ever finish porting all code to Forge and tbh. the code was really messy and buggy so after quite some time i decided to finally clean up the netcode and switch to a different Networking solution (Mirror: Mirror-networking.com).
Now PlanB uses Mirror for it's networking and i couldn't be happier! It's easy to use, documentation is great and the support and commutity is simply put out of this world. And the best of all: it's Free!
There are still quite a lot of things to do but the core Multiplyer system is now working:
