Post news RSS Mini game (visual novel? simulation?) against sexism launched

Two Interviewees was launched last Sunday for Windows, Linux, Mac and Android. It's a short indie game about the gender gap in access to jobs.

Two Interviewees was created in one day by one developer during the course of Narrative Game Design held by We Are Müesli in Bologna in January 2016. A mini game jam was organised within that course and the theme was "Simultaneous", chosen among four randomly picked jam themes.

An idea popped up during the jam: a game with two main characters who perform the same actions getting two opposite results. And who are they? What about a man and a woman? At a job interview, maybe?

There you go.

The game kind of worked, delivered the message and the gameplay was complex enough to invite replaying. In a few weeks the graphics was revamped with the aid of an artist (Emanuele Klemp), the text was translated from Italian to English with the aid of English-speaking friends (Tania Ziegler and Phoebe Revolta), a few extra gems were added thanks to a mysterious guy (@figuredisfondo) and Two Interviewees was published on Valentine's Day. It's here, on itch.io and on the Play Store.

Have a try.
