The Pretty Scary Update is almost upon us, with just two weeks until our target release date (October 24th). Here is this weeks changelog:
- Added a new Anvil block for repairing, merging & naming items
- Added an option for cape-owners to hide their capes ingame
- Effects given by the Beacon will be less intrusive on the screen
- Level-up sound now only plays every 5 levels
- More bugfixes & tweaks!

having the game since December 24/25, 2010; all users were given a Christmas cape.
also On New Year's Eve, 2010; all users were given a new year's cape cape.
and a cape to all MineCon 2011 attendees.
can't wait until we get mod support. cape mod is going on my server asap. capes should not be exclusive to few. nor should Mouse Ears, which ARE in Minecraft on the player.
wait, that means I should have 2 capes by now,how would I activate them? I had the game since before the nether.
have it since august 2010 didn't get a cap :(
maybe i should have played on Christmas
I bought the game on 19. Dec. 2010. Haven't got a cape either.
I like the idea of being able to find anvils in villages, I just wish villages spawned more often.
