As most of you probably already noticed, Minecraft has been updated to version 1.4.6! The major changes are,
- Added fireworks
- Added enchantable books
- A lot of enchantments have been tweaked
- A Christmas surprise
- Added option to enable touchscreen input for buttons and inventory
- Many issues have been fixed!
You can download the stand-alone client and server software here: Minecraft.net. Now we’ll get back on focusing on Minecraft 1.5 – the Redstone Update! It will be released early 2013.

I like the idea of fireworks being incorporated into the game :)
