Hey there! We want to say thanks to everyone, who took part and helped us to choose the type of the car and gave some good ideas.
Update 8.5 is going to be relatively short and with a focus on what we’re doing, rather than done for the past week.

The 3D model of the chosen car is on its way, and hopefully, if another asteroid will not hit Chelyabinsk, it will be ready at this weekend. Another main character model - Maria Sakharova is almost done, and will be shown in the next update.
On the coding side the work is going on instances. Instances - it is relatively large buildings with a lot of small props in them, to improve overall performance and keep the game less demanding to hardwear, we make this type of buildings as separate scene. How does it work? When you enter in the instance you will jump directly into interior scene, pretty much like it works in Fallout 3, when you walk in a house. The instances will not only solve the problem with performance, but also, will help with randomisations of the interiors, inside props and some other things we want to make.
There are some props we’ve made and some more in development. As you can see, we moved away from cell shaded borderlands style and heading to more realistic picture.

More juicy stuff in the next update, stay tuned ))

Thank you,
Snow Arc team.

It would be awesome if they did something similar to fallout, where basically there's a bunch of different possibilities of what could be inside. For example, one play through you could find some ammo for a pistol, possible a small knife or something, and the next time you could find ammo for a rifle, or even a pistol inside it.

hey, guys. @Vesperon- Yes all these stuff will be lootable, more shelves, boxes, crates are coming. @ Official|Sam - you described it exactly, like we're going to make, loot will be randomly generated. In addition to that I'm working on system of micro events, which means when you open a random create for example it may trig a certain micro event either like spawning a monster or quest, or anything else. I think such surprises will make scavenging even more interesting, when you don't know what to expect from your actions)

Thanks for the comments

Nope, the sink is made for decoration only, at least by now.

Why did you move away from the stylised look?

We want to make a grim and depressing atmosphere. Like it has the film Stalker, directed by Andrei Tarkovsky. At first, we thought that it might be unusual and unique in more cartoonish style, but when we started putting together the very first assets, we quickly realised that the game didn't get the look we wanted. That's why we decided to move towards more realistic style, though the textures are still mostly hand painted
