From June 1-3 we had the pleasure of bringing Mad Machines (Formerly know as Block Sport) all the way from Denmark to Texas, in order to attend DreamHack Austin. We did this not only because it was a great chance to met passionate Esports gamers, but also because our game was one of the winners of “Best Multiplayer” in the Indie Zone.
This nomination for the Indie Zone resulted in a free both at DreamHack Austin, next to other skilled Indie Developers who were nominated in categories such as Casual, Action, VR, RPG and more. We were surrounded by truly great games, so be sure to check out the full list here. → Dreamhack.com
We would like to thank the fans who traveled to Austin to say hello to us. We cannot even start to describe how happy that made us! Same goes for the many people who dropped by our booth to play with us. We had somehow managed cram 6 machines into our little booth, allowing for some local 3v3 matches. Not sure how many players came by, but we rarely had a seat empty through the whole weekend!
Above you see a small sneak peek from the new arena we are developing. Exciting stuff!
Now it will probably be a little time before we travel again, even if it is super rewarding to do so. Instead, we will strap in for some weeks of focused production efforts before everyone is swallowed up by summer holidays. After all, we are looking at launch around October 2018.
If you are curious about this final stage of production, be sure to join our Discord or follow us on our many social media channels. We share news about game regularly and we love hearing your feedback on the game.
