Post news Report RSS Lantern Forge on Steam Greenlight

We've recently begun our campaign to get Lantern Forge onto Steam through their Greenlight program.

Posted by on

We're hoping to distribute Lantern Forge through a variety of game portals. We're hoping to avoid direct sales and downloads, because honestly, as a two-person development team, managing that type of website would divert a massive amount of attention away from developing content for the game.

If you like what you've seen of our game so far, please help us out by visiting our Steam Greenlight page!

I don't like haversting, such waste of time to wait character to finish harvesting, or would be great with some option to make haversting very fast.
Cool graphics.

You won't have to sit and wait to harvest, get a good tool and you can harvest a plants loot in a second. We hate time filler stuff too. You can even use an anvil in your inventory instead of having to put it on the ground, use it, then pick it back up again :p We gots stuff to kill! can't be waiting around to make a sword!

Looking good, and I'm glad to hear you're planning on releasing through a number of different portals. Do take a look at IndieGameStand, they are really up-and-coming right now, and have a great store. Indiegamestand.com

We are currently getting the wandering merchant into the game and fine tuning the skills. All 5 tiers of armor and weapons are now done and in the game. Things are coming together nicely and our play testers have enjoyed themselves. :)

We have a bunch of merchants walking around now selling lots of stuff. Their inventory will rotate so there is always something new to check out.

We also now have cages you can craft so that you can tame and capture animals out in the wild and bring them back home. You won't have to lead a cow or a dragon from 10 miles away. Tame them, put them in a cage then bring them out for pit battles against other trainers and...oh wait, that last part is a different game...
