Hey guys!
I'm Cenk, the artistic stuff generator ( i'll regret this name later ) for Crisential.
While we are working so hard to get everything ready for Kickstarter, i just realised we should inform you guys over the process of Crisential's Development. We've been started this project over a year ago. We always worked so much to achieve what we really want, which is a game we always wanted to play.
As a gamer, i never agreed that, a game should only focus on one way of playing, genre, style etc. I always wanted to play it however i want, do whatever i want, go wherever i want. ( It's basically some kind of uber-sandbox ) That's why, even on that day , the very first moments we decided to start a project, Crisential, we agreed on the subject " having many different features, options to play with "
Let's make this a little bit clear. I LOVE Survival games, also i'm a big fan of Rpg and Strategy genres. There were lots ( really. LOTS ) of Survival games going around last year, and i was thought like " ok. i'll be a very happy man this year, it's guaranteed. Then i just realised, at some point, they all make you feel like the same thing over and over and over again. You know, you HAVE TO kill x number of zombies or gather x number of wierd flowers or x number of anything which makes you not so interested over it, to accomplish a quest or a mission, for getting 1 bottle of water, or some not-so-interesting weapons or something. It was ok for me ( yea i like survival games THAT much ) but at the end, you will never feel like ' surviving ' at all. On the other hand, lots of realistic textured Minecraft clones showed up and tried to accomplish what Minecraft respectively did years ago. I do not believe that " polishing over a succesfull feature, style, basically over other ideas " will make you happy at all.
So we've decided to shape our game, the way we always wanted to play, which includes lots of different features, mixing up some genres together, stick to the Voxel graphics to making things easier for anyone who want to involve into this process and make mods, new features or anything you want. Also , as gamers played some incredible Rpg games while we'r growin up, we've created a whole new world, story, places, noticable people for you to hang out, explore and have fun. There are lots of other cool stuff we did and we will surely share them with you while the development continues.
From now on, we'll share more information over the process, and try to make everything ready for our Kickstarter campaign. See you soon !
Reminds me a little of Worlds (http://www.worlds.curious-planet.com/), which I think is amazing, so that's all good.
Good luck!
Specially about the mixing up genres, it's a great example yeah.
Thank you ! :)
Se ve muy bien :D, me re cuerda mucho a cube world pero con una tematica completamente diferente.
Thanks to google translate, i could say, yeah Cubeworld is a nice voxel based game ,which could be an example of our general ' exploration ' side of the game. Completely different theme, i agree with that.
Thanks for your kind words :)
