After launching on Xbox One this past April, I was able to tweak things here and there to help folks who wanted more casual gameplay by introducing two different difficulty modes: Gentle Caterpillar & Raging Butterfly. While the game was designed to be played on Raging Butterfly mode, the introduction of Gentle Caterpillar mode makes the game even more therapeutic :)
We launched on PS4 on July 16th, and so far i'm happy to hear people are enjoying it!
During that time, I started the process of making sure the game was PC compatible with mouse and keyboard, and today (July 22nd at the time of this writing), we launched on Steam Early Access!
Why Early Access?
I'm hoping to get more feedback with gameplay mechanics, nectar flow, and general UX quality of life in the game. I'm also working on getting Leaderboards integrated into all platforms, and while achievements/trophies are online with Xbox and PS4, I still need to integrate Achievements into the Steam platform. Early access i figured would be a great time to do this.
Looking forward to continue polishing this game, moving forward with the port to Nintendo Switch, and hope people continue to have fun dropping Flutter Bombs!
