Hi there zombies.

This is our first post on indieDB and we are really excited to get started posting regularly on this site.
On this week, we worked on the UI and some new character features.

First of we started doing the item database and the store system for the game, and its a little wonky but its working great.
We can add items, search them, add categories and modify the items directly from the database with an easy to use Editor.

All of this data is then passed to the store script and automatically fills the store items and what you can buy.

We also worked on a new action system that let each character do different useful actions(not attacks).

This will greatly enhance the interactivity with the environment of the game and helps us do a more solid level design to keep the pacing of the game always fresh.

Here you can take a look at Tony's new Gliding ability.

We are also working on evironment stuff like pickupable props, push zones and a more solid knockback system.

That's it more or less what we worked this week, we are pretty new on this news reports so we have little experience on making them and writing them. We hope that with time this will change and we can make more solid reports to our fans.

We will keep reporting you guys!

Thank you all for your constant support!

Congrats on your first post :)
Your database system is nice, definiteley not as wonky as mine, I made prefabs for every item %-D
Is it an editor extension? And how do you transfer the data to the game?

I made an scriptable object that held's a bidimensional array and i fill it with the editor window you see on the first gif. Then the store automatically consults the scriptable object and gets the data.
