Co-op multiplayer and 141 class combinations sounds interesting (though, as you say, really only 6 full classes), but those colors are... Interesting...

Hm. Worth taking a look at.

Sure, steam offers a lot of support - automatic updates, friends list for co-op and such...

Automatic updates are often part of the game not steam :P

Real men have their friends on IRC, moddb, and xfire.

That's not entirely true... (about automatic updates).

Although I've only played the demo (and I assume it'd be taboo for me just to judge it off that? :P)

The game has..promise, personally I'd love to see a cleaner GUI & Interactions in the GUI don't seem to really jump out at you, ie; when your at the merchant, it takes a second to realize the layout of your interface (characters paper doll in the center, inventory on the right, shopkeeper/'tailors' inventory on the left), although I suppose that isn't terribly bad.

I enjoyed what I did play of it; the gameplay mechanics are there, but the GUI feels pre-1999 almost :S Perhaps Triple A titles like Neverwinter Nights 1/Diablo/Torchlight/Lionheart have ruined me for this sort of thing however >>;

After playing the demo I feel the same way. There are some real strengths here, the main weakness is a somewhat clunky GUI.

Torchlight is supposed to become an MMO. But yeah, as daystranger said, its another diablo knockoff, but with its own features and more exaggeratedly colourful.

Im not sure if its bug or just my misunderstanding, but...

I start game. I roll warrior. Equip my axe(Given at spawn). Go into dungeon. Green sword drops. I try to equip it(Before identifying, forgot about that) and my axe disappears. Sword goes in my weapon slot(Replacing axe) and back into inventory cos I lack some stats to use it. Anyway, my axe is gone. Not dropped. Not in my inventory. I'm all alone without any weapon what I can use.

(This is from Demo btw)

Well they are both action RPGs if that is what you mean. Personally I think Din's Curse has more depth than Torchlight. Din has more classes with hybrids, a dynamic world, more world interaction, etc.

I am amazed at how many people say "if it was on Steam" without knowing in reality how HARD THAT IS. As a indie game company that tried to do so, it's not like you send them a friendly email like "Hey guys!"

They do not comment on their decisions, they are not friendly, and it's all about the money. Don't believe me? Click and read our blog for more information.
