Hi everyone, in this week update we will talk about our art approach for the project and how will the art of our game feel, also a simple sneak peek of some of the art that we worked on.

One more week has passed and Howling Night is constantly being worked on, mainly game design and prototype wise but also in art. Now, we want to share with you guys our idea and sneak peek of how our art would look like.

With our approach for the art we wanted to make our game feel different in some way, we thought about making a cartoonish art style while still remaining the feel of depression and fear.

For this we think we want to follow the type of art style some games use like Don´t Starve. In Don´t Starve the character, monsters and environment have a low saturation and they seem like a complex sketch.

To be completly honest we love this design features and we wanna make sure to apply that to our game.

Now with that in mind our team made just a quick sneak peek of how the art could look like, next you can see some of the villagers houses and huts in the top down view of our game, the images are still sketches but we hope you guys like it.
