ANNOUNCING: the Defragmented BETA!
After months of hard work, we're excited to reveal that Defragmented will be going into a closed beta THIS MONTH!
Initial invitations went out Friday 10/9. The final round of invitations go out on Wednesday 10/14. Sign up now in order to get access: Glass Knuckle Newsletter
Defragmented is getting closer and closer to completion, and we want our fans and friends to be able to test the game first - that way you get a sneak peek at the full game, while we get lots of useful feedback from the people that love us most!
Here's what you can expect from our Defragmented beta: five awesome levels, three playable classes, music from artists like Mitch Murder and El Tigr3, a riveting story, character illustrations, save systems, guns, experience points, keyboard and controller support, and cute robot vendors!
Aside from the big amount of work going in to the beta, we've still been developing new features at a steady pace. Since the last update, there are all sorts of new particle and gameplay effects to improve visual feedback overall. To round out the experience of completing a level: a slick new slow-motion effect has been added whenever the last enemy is defeated or the level is otherwise finished. This is immediately followed by a stats breakdown showing how you performed in the level and awarding a rank with a matching credits boost.
To support these new ranks and stats being tracked, statistics have been added to all missions as well as a seperate menu in the terminal. Best times and ranks are now tracked for each chapter and level to quickly show how far a player has progressed in the game. Meanwhile, the stats menu will track less important values such as total credits collected, enemies killed, and much more. We highly recommend signing up for the beta if you're interested to see where we're at right now.
We'll be conducting the bulk of the beta through our Glass Knuckle Newsletter. If you want to be a part of the beta and play the first act of the game, please sign up using the link above.
