Shame they have not much improved their normal mapping system. Still creates a lot of artifacts in the compression and does not round the polys, as shown on the arm in the above shot. Source mostly looks shiny with heavy rim lighting which is quite unrealistic.
CS:GO will have to be a major leap in gameplay to knock CS:Source of it's high rank, as the graphics are sub par compared to other titles out there, even last years.
Oh, all of the shots so far have extremely flat ground. Modders seem to have a better grasp of realistic landscapes than Valve at present.
they have a really big franchise here. simply naming the product cs will get their pockets feeled. basicly a l4d mod, with ported maps. i was watching inferno: they moved 2 boxes. i should f*ckin amazed or something?
