Blades of the Righteous, indie strategy game has been reworked and significantly improved. After receiving user feedback on UI and user feel, I've made a decision to rewrite the game battle system and improve graphics. Game uses OpenGL now, the battlefield has obstacles and there are lots of cool effects added to surroundings / abilities.

Blades of the Righteous, version 1.3 has been released.

After receiving user feedback on ui and user feel, I've made a decision to rewrite the game battle system and improve graphics.

Main features of this update:

  • Units can attack / use spells right after moving.
  • Enemies retaliate after normal attacks.
  • Added time delay between turns for emphasis.
  • Cool effects for spells.
  • Added Bloom effect to the battlefield.
  • The turn-based battlefield has obstacles now.
  • 5 new map events: random quests that force you to make choices.

The changes make battles more fast-paced, more tactical due to combat resistances and more enjoyable overall due to improved visual effects.
