Hi all,

today I want to show you how we're working on light and shade in order to make very shocking scenes, which is one of the most important things to do when you make a game, especially when your game is a survival horror.

So, I thought of shooting a video that showed how the powerful S2Engine light system works ( so that you know what to expect ).

Enjoy the video.

WOW, very very nice, lighting is overlooked in games to often... or just substituted with bloom (ALA syndicate)

Wow, that looks awsome!!!
It's very nice that such an awsome game is developed by a custom build engine !!!

It is not a custom build engine. It is S2engine HD from Profenix Studio. you can find more info at:
www.profenix.com
www.s2powered.com

A dedicated page on IndieDB will be created soon.

The room and the light used in this video reminds me a lot the Resident Evil 1 remake that was released on Gamecube. Anyway, it looks great!

Those crisp textures are so beautiful; I miss that from the old games, now we had to endure that Dx C4@9 and blurry textures down our throats.

Great work in there.
