Hey guys just a small update of whats happening with BFDR, so basically for the past year I started a company with a few other people which fell through and disbanded the company. Now I've gone full time on my own sole company Demon Flame and I'm working on a project called Red Ashes. Basically I've been very very busy with all this and haven't had the time for BFDR.

However, as of late I've in fact been working on BFDR around the clock, incidentally its been very educational and allows me to experiment and create systems that I will be able to further on Red Ashes. Does this mean there's a new version coming out soon? Maybe. Like in previous news articles I've stated that I need to redo a lot of things and now that I have the tech I need to make it compatible. Specifically I'm having to redo the characters rigs and animations, very long and tedious process. On top of that I'm doing this entirely by myself which means I have to do every single aspect, from game menus, character selection systems, inventory behaviors, level tweaking and doing all the 3D art.

If I do release a newer version don't expect a 1:1 remake, there will be quite a bit missing from it but progress can only go up from here. I have a lot of functionality compared to my older versions, I'm able to forward the project on my own.

I've been sticking with this project since 2006 (Me: That's a long time...), I'm not dropping it until I've finished it. I've come so far, I made it into Retro Gamer back in 2006 and said I hoped to get it done by Christmas (Yeah not making that mistake again). Even Chris Seavor got wind of this project, that's fricken'cool and only inspires me to get it done.

If you want to support this project, check out Red Ashes it'll really help me out. I've got a long way to go on Red Ashes but its my current major project, if it goes well and I make some green stuff from it then I will be able to put more time aside for projects such as this.

Thanks for reading, I love making games.

Dude seriously you rule. Thanks for being so passionate about this game. I have been coming back a lot to check on the progress. It's too bad the company didn't work out. But the fact that you're still pursuing a finished remake is absolutely amazing and inspiring! If I was a little further in my CS degree I would offer some help. Hell.. maybe I will. I've only got a year and a half left.
